Public Relations
HISTORY
JAC COMMUNICATIONS, founded in 1994, handles writing, editing and public
relations programs for a variety of corporate and nonprofit clients. Writing
and editing services range from writing individual articles to editing
and managing entire publications, including newsletters, trade magazines,
catalogs, brochures, directories, Web sites and annual reports. Public
relations programs, primarily for performing arts organizations, include
developing and implementing multifaceted campaigns, serving as media spokesperson,
creating promotional materials and coordinating media coverage of events.
JAC Communications is owned and operated by Jill A. Chukerman, who has
20 years of experience as a communications professional. Prior to founding
her company, Jill was Communications Manager in the Corporate Communications
and Public Affairs Department of Playboy Enterprises Inc., where she handled
all internal communications for nearly 700 employees, media relations
for CEO Christie Hefner and the Playboy Foundation and financial relations.
She also served as Director of Communications for the League of Chicago
Theatres/Chicago Theatre Foundation, a professional trade association
and service organization for Chicago's theatre industry. In that capacity,
